Building a Universe

Wrap up

Okay, if you've actually made it this far, I want to congratulate you on your persistence. This has been a long article. And thanks for listening to my ramblings.

With that out of the way, let me make this wrap up quick. Whenever you sit down to create a universe, you have to take the time to explore and invent many different aspects of that universe. You can't get lazy and only invent the aspects of the universe you think will be in your story. You have to create everything, or at least nearly everything, in order to really make a universe come to life. Most of this creation process, I'll admit, comes while you're actually writing your stories. But, the more you can get out of the way before you write, the more realistic your settings will be.

I hope you've learned something by reading this. If you have any questions or comments, let me know.
