Evaluating Web Sites

Introduction

The Internet has always been my primary tool for conducting both initial and advanced research. As a student and a writer, I've used the Internet to track down geological survey information, uncover archaeological sites in Japan, learn how police investigate traffic accidents, pick up the basics of 3D graphics, learn about space travel and figure out government accounting standards. But, while the Internet is full of great information it's also bloated with misinformation. Sometimes it can be difficult to know whether you can or should trust the information that you find on a web site.
