Holster too tight? Try the baggie treatment.

Does your new holster fit a little tight? Well that's a good thing.

There's several factors that will affect the outcome of how a new holster will fit your gun, but let's just say that it's much better to start out with a holster that fits a little snug, than one that is too loose.

If you can fully seat the gun into the holster, even with some effort, then everything will be alright....if you can't get the gun in at all...then that's a different story and you need to go back to the holster maker or store to resolve that.

I want to show you the "baggie treatment"......actually any similar plastic will work.....Simply wrap the gun in it.....then insert into the holster.

The plastic is actually serving a couple services....this plastic is thick enough to stretch the leather....and if it's still too tight, will act as a lubricant in pulling the gun back out.

Simply wrap plastic around the gun.

....then place into holster. Leave it set over-night...still tighter than you like? Do it again, this time use two baggies or thicker guage of plastic.

I hope you find this helpful.
