Chapter 24 - Covers & Fairings

   I certainly didn't wait to the end to build the canard cover, for example.  I built it during the canopy stage, to fair it all together.

   Gear leg fairings are in their own section

   One area left for last is the "hellhole", the hole between and around the gear legs, forward of the firewall.  The hellhole gives access to a great deal of important plumbing and wiring, and you want it left open as late as possible.
 
   I decided I wanted to build the hellhole earlier, and to have access inside afterwards.  So, I built a removable hellhole cover.  Since this area of the aircraft is structural, I used hinge material to retain full tensile strength in the skin when it's installed.
