                    MARSA F.C. STILL THERE

The 2002/03 season has started badly for Marsa F.C., we lost four players from last year namely, Cordina, Tellus, Friggieri and Axiaq and although we had new signings it looks evident that we require more strength.

We definitely need a playmaker in midfield and another striker to help Eviparker. Our supporters should not be disheartened the Committee is working hard to find the cash required to get new signings. I assure everybody that we are determined to succeed. The season is still in the early stages and we are confident that as soon as we win the first points than all premier clubs will start respecting us again. The two 0-6 losses we started the season with were nothing more than an accident or a mixture of many things one would prefer not to comment about.

The season is still at its prime and Marsa will come back with a bang. On Saturday we play against our eternal rivals (in sports) Hamrun although sportsmanlike we say may the best team win this match, this is our supporters match. We will do our utmost to get a positive result.

The Committee is introducing a scheme and asking supporters to donate Lm100.00 if we can find 300 Marsa supporters to donate Lm100 each this will give the club Lm30,000.00, that is the only way we can sign players of good standard. For further details contact me by email paaulaquil @vol.net.mt or the Club Secretary Jason Cini on secmfc22@yahoo.co.uk. or at the Marsa Football Club for those supporters in Malta.
