Modifying Styles

You can modify existing styles at any time. The process involves going into the Style Editor, changing the properties for a style and saving the changes to the file's template.

  1. Select Format > Style... from the menu bar.

    The Style dialogue box appears. This dialogue box lets you create or edit styles in the document.

  2. Select the Add to template checkbox.
  3. Select the style you want to modify from the Styles list.
  4. Click Modify... .

    The Modify Styles box appears. This box allows you to modify specific properties of the selected style, such as font, point size, line spacing and more by clicking the Format button and selecting from a list of dialogue boxes.

  5. Click the Format button and select the property you want to edit from the drop-down list that appears.
  6. Make changes as needed in the dialogue box that appears.
  7. Click OK when you're finished.
  8. Repeat steps 6-7 to modify other properties of the style.
  9. Click OK to update the style.
  10. Click Close in the Style dialogue box to finish.
