Technical Writing Skills
Introduction
Technical writers don't simply write. As a technical writer, you must learn about a product or service, usually under a tight deadline with little or no background in the field for which you're writing. You must combine what you've learned about a product or service with technical and/or design specifications to produce a document that explains what the product or service is and how to use it. This requires a small arsenal of skills that are easy to pick up with education and practice.
